Niall Horan Ryder Cup Celebration

LONG ISLAND, New York — Niall Horan was in high spirits over the weekend as he celebrated Team Europe‘s victory at the Ryder Cup. The former One Direction star, known for his enthusiasm for golf, joined fans at Bethpage Black, chanting and cheering after Europe’s successful matches.

In a video shared on social media, Horan can be seen enthusiastically chanting, “Shoes off if you won the cup,” while waving one of his shoes in the air. Fans quickly fell in love with his lively presence, praising his down-to-earth attitude during the tournament.

“There’s so much going on here! The crowd singing his name is too much,” one fan commented on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. Another added, “He puts such a smile on my face,” showing the joy Horan brings to his supporters.

Horan, 32, also partook in a Q&A session about golf, where he expressed his excitement for the Ryder Cup, saying it’s his favorite sporting event. He commented on Team USA’s golfers, suggesting that Xander Schauffele would be a good fit for a pop band alongside Ludvig Aberg, a European player.

As the competition proceeded, Europe secured the cup with a final score of 15-13. Shane Lowry played a pivotal role in the victory by tying with Russell Henley, securing Europe’s title. After his crucial six-foot birdie on the 18th hole, Lowry celebrated, recalling the magic of the moment.

The win marked Team Europe’s fifth victory on US soil in the last 10 years, continuing their dominance in the Ryder Cup, winning 11 times in the last 14 matches. Captain Luke Donald praised the team, saying, “They’ll be talking about this team for a long time,” highlighting the significance of their achievement.
