Vanderson Injury As Monaco

Monaco, France — Vanderson, the Brazilian defender for AS Monaco, will miss approximately six weeks due to a hamstring injury. The injury occurred during the team’s recent 2-2 draw against Manchester City on Wednesday.

Vanderson left the field in tears midway through the first half, raising fears that he might have suffered a severe knee injury. However, Monaco manager Adi Hutter later confirmed that the injury was a hamstring pull.

“I am sad for him; he was selected for Brazil, too. You can imagine he is sad about it,” Hutter said at a press conference, highlighting the impact of this injury on Vanderson’s international prospects.

This setback follows a prior injury that kept Vanderson from participating in Brazil’s last international break. It underscores the challenges faced by the young defender as he looks to recover and return to the pitch.

In the meantime, AS Monaco will have to adjust their defense without Vanderson, adding pressure on his teammates as they continue their campaign in Ligue 1.
