Munich, Germany — Since moving to Munich two years ago, Harry Kane has embraced the local culture, from wearing lederhosen during Oktoberfest to scoring goals for Bayern Munich. Kane celebrated his first major trophy after helping the team win the Bundesliga title in May 2024.

At a recent event for STATSports, a company dedicated to youth training tools, Kane reflected on his experiences in Germany. Wearing a black tracksuit, he shared anecdotes from his time with Bayern, including a hat-trick scored in a 4-1 victory against Hoffenheim. This season, Kane has already tallied 11 goals and three assists, contributing significantly to Bayern’s unbeaten start.

Kane’s transition from Tottenham Hotspur has been smooth. He describes moving from London as “a big step” but expresses no regrets. As for his acceptance in Munich, he comments, “Everyone pretty much supports Bayern Munich here.” The community atmosphere allows him to enjoy football and family outings with his children.

Reflecting on last year’s Oktoberfest, Kane mentioned wanting to experience it in a different light—perhaps with a drink next time. He also expressed how friendly and humorous the German people are, countering stereotypes he initially held.

His family has settled into their new life, with his children adjusting well to school. Though he admits to struggling with the language, he remains determined to integrate fully into the culture. He cherishes family time despite the demanding football schedule, emphasizing that he enjoys outdoor activities with them.

With the 2026 World Cup approaching, Kane is excited about competing. He acknowledges that the conditions in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico will be different, especially regarding the heat and travel. Kane’s focus for the immediate future is to continue his form in the Bundesliga while enjoying life in Munich.

“It was a special feeling to lift that trophy. It makes all the hard work worth it,” Kane said, noting that he is hungry for more success.
