Andrew Wiggins Basketball Game

MIAMI, Fla. — Andrew Wiggins scored 18 points and collected four rebounds in the Miami Heat‘s 125-121 loss to the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night.

Wiggins shot 6-for-12 from the field, including 1-for-5 from beyond the arc, and made 5 of 7 free throws. Despite his solid performance, he struggled with his three-point shooting, which impacted his overall contribution to the game.

“It was a tough night for us as a team, but I feel like I did what I could out there,” Wiggins said after the game. He played 32 minutes and added one assist, one steal, and one block.

The starting lineup for the Heat had a balanced approach, with four players, including Wiggins, reaching double-digit field-goal attempts. The absence of Tyler Herro, who is recovering from an ankle injury, has allowed Wiggins more opportunities to contribute offensively.

In the same matchup, Bam Adebayo also performed well, scoring 15 points and grabbing 12 rebounds for Miami. Adebayo made 4 of 13 field-goal attempts, struggled from three-point range at 1-for-5, and was efficient at the free-throw line, going 6-for-7.

Despite the loss, Adebayo was optimistic about his performance. “I know I can be better and I will keep working on my efficiency, especially with Tyler out for a while,” he stated.

Looking ahead, both players will need to step up as the Heat continue their season without Herro, with hopes of turning around their early record.
