Old Dominion Football Set for Exciting Homecoming Events
NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University’s annual Homecoming game will feature new entertainment options as the Monarchs take on App State. The game is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 25, at noon.
Tailgating lots will open at 8 a.m., four hours before kickoff, along with Kaufman Mall. Fans can enjoy a concert by Tiki Bar and a workout session by OrangeTheory Fitness starting at the mall’s opening.
At 9:45 a.m., the Monarch March will commence as the football team makes its way from Webb Center to S.B. Ballard Stadium. Following the team will be the introduction of the Homecoming court along with this year’s parade.
In acknowledgment of the government shutdown, Old Dominion is offering a special ticket deal. Federal, military, or government employees affected by the shutdown can obtain four complimentary tickets for Saturday’s game and a men’s basketball exhibition against Hampton on Sunday.
At 10 a.m., former ODU football player and current New Orleans Saints offensive lineman, Ryan Saldiveri, will sign autographs. Saldiveri played for ODU from 2018-2022 and was a Sun-Belt All-Conference honoree.
The Monarch Masquerade costume parade is set for 10:30 a.m. on Kaufman Mall, welcoming children ages 0-12 to showcase their Halloween costumes. Additional food options include Kookie’s Cakes & Shakes and Instrumental Coffee.
Inside S.B. Ballard Stadium, fans can purchase a limited edition YETI Rambler® Tumbler featuring the ODU racetrack logo for $50. This cup will only be available on the east side of the stadium and by the south gate.
The homecoming festivities culminate with the kickoff against App State at noon, broadcasted on ESPNU and the ODU Sports Network.
