Villarreal Dominates Ciudad de Lucena in Copa del Rey Match
Valencia, Spain – Villarreal CF brought joy to Lucena as they faced Ciudad de Lucena in the first round of the Copa del Rey. The match concluded with Villarreal winning convincingly, highlighted by a stellar performance from Tani Oluwaseyi, who scored a hat-trick.
The excitement began early when Oluwaseyi netted two goals in just two minutes, from the 15th to the 17th minute, effectively steering the match in Villarreal’s favor. His performance was a welcome boost for coach Marcelino, as the young forward had struggled to find his scoring touch in recent weeks.
Despite the one-sided scoreline, Ciudad de Lucena’s goalkeeper Froilán showcased remarkable skills, making numerous critical saves. He thwarted shots from Oluwaseyi, Ayoze, and Gueye, keeping the local squad in the game longer than expected. In one notable instance, Ayoze hit the crossbar with a shot from close range.
