Dezmond Xavier Returns to Indie Wrestling After WWE Exit
Long Island, New York – Former WWE star Wes Lee, now returning to his original ring name Dezmond Xavier, is set to make his independent wrestling debut soon following his release from WWE earlier this month.
Xavier announced he would begin accepting bookings starting November 11, 2025, as he gears up for a match at House of Glory Wrestling’s ‘Superclash’ on November 15. The specific details of his match are still pending.
“Dezmond Xavier software update available to the public November 11th,” he shared with fans, indicating his rebranding after a five-year tenure with WWE.
Wes Lee, whose real name is Deveon Aichens, captured both the NXT North American Championship and NXT Tag Team Titles during his successful time in WWE’s developmental territory. However, his WWE journey faced turbulence after a loss in July, leading to his eventual release on October 10.
“The biggest surprise was Wes Lee, who is great in the ring. I guess the idea is that after five years in the system, they simply felt they were never going to use him on the main roster,” said wrestling analyst Dave Meltzer.
Xavier is now signed with Paragon Talent Group, which also represents notable wrestling figures like Mercedes Moné and Mandy Rose. Fans are eager to see where his journey will take him next as he re-enters the competitive landscape of independent wrestling.
As he prepares for his upcoming match in Long Island, wrestling enthusiasts are buzzing with anticipation. Where do you hope to see Dezmond Xavier wrestle next? Share your thoughts in the comments.
