NEW YORK – Karl-Anthony Towns scored a season-high 33 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, leading the New York Knicks to a 119-102 victory over the Washington Wizards on Monday night.

Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby contributed 16 points each, while Malaki Branham added 15 off the bench. The Wizards’ top scorer was Jordan Clarkson with 19 points, while Corey Kispert and Tre Johnson each chipped in 15.

The Knicks improved their home record to 4-0 this season, continuing their strong performance at Madison Square Garden.

Washington began the game strongly, shooting 72.2% in the first quarter and taking an early lead. The Wizards grew their advantage to 32-22 before the Knicks launched a comeback. A 16-3 run by New York shifted the momentum, allowing them to take a 50-41 lead.

Despite the Wizards’ efforts to respond with a 13-point scoring streak that featured a four-point play from Bilal Coulibaly, Towns managed to counter with his own four-point play just before halftime, leaving the Knicks ahead 57-54.

New York maintained control into the third quarter, extending their lead after a 17-0 run that brought the score to 91-65. The Knicks’ lead peaked at 94-66 following a three-pointer from Josh Hart.

As the game progressed into the final quarter, both teams struggled to score, but the Knicks held a significant lead that kept the Wizards at bay. Washington ended the game with Marvin Bagley hitting two free throws, bringing the final score to 119-102.

Looking ahead, the Wizards are set to visit Boston on Wednesday, while the Knicks prepare to host the Minnesota Timberwolves the same evening.
