Emanuel Emegha Strasbourg Injury Update

STRASBOURG, France — Club captain Emanuel Emegha has been sidelined with an injury for several weeks, but he might return soon after traveling with the RC Strasbourg Alsace squad on Wednesday.

Strasbourg is set to face BK Hacken in the UEFA Europa Conference League in Sweden on Thursday night. While Emegha is part of the traveling squad, he is not expected to start. That responsibility will likely fall to the prolific Joaquin Panichelli.

Strasbourg manager Liam Rosenior has few injury concerns. However, players Abakar Sylla, Saidou Sow, and Maxi Oyedele remain out, which has tested the team’s depth. Felix Lemarechal, who has missed recent matchday squads, is expected to start against Hacken. Chelsea loanee Kendry Paez may also get the nod in the lineup.

The expected lineup for Strasbourg includes Mike Penders; Ben Chilwell, Mamadou SaRR, Ismael Doukouré, Lucas Hogsberg; Rafael Luism, Mathis Amougou; Sébastien Nanasi, Felix Lemarechal, Kendry Paez; Joaquin Panichelli.

This match is crucial for Strasbourg as they look to advance in the Europa Conference League.
