Indiana Basketball And Lindenwood Game Preview

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Indiana University is set to continue its 126th season of men’s basketball with a non-conference game against Lindenwood on Thursday, Nov. 20, at 6 p.m. ET at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. Indiana enters the matchup with a perfect 4-0 record, while Lindenwood holds a record of 2-3.

The Lions are coached by Kyle Gerdeman in his seventh year and are looking to improve their standing with standout performances from players like sophomore guard Jadis Jones, who averages 17.3 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. He has demonstrated impressive shooting, connecting on 82.4% of his attempts this season.

Other key players for the Lions include Dontrez Williams, averaging 18.7 points, Milos Nenadic, contributing 12.4 points and 7.4 rebounds, and Anias Futrell, who adds 11.8 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. Lindenwood has also been effective on the boards, averaging 11.2 offensive rebounds per game and providing 59 second-chance points this season.

On the other side, Indiana is looking to build on its recent performance despite facing criticism for inconsistent play. Fans are eager to see if the Hoosiers can eliminate the lapses that plagued them during their last game against UIW, where they allowed the lead to shrink in the final minutes. This season, the Hoosiers aim to prove they can handle lesser opponents decisively.

This matchup marks the first contest between Indiana and Lindenwood. Historically, the Hoosiers have a perfect 27-0 record against teams from the Ohio Valley Conference.

Injuries have affected Indiana’s lineup, with Josh Harris sidelined due to an ankle/foot injury, and Jason Drake missing time with a lower body injury. Aleksa Ristic is also out due to a lower body issue, but specifics on his return are unclear.

As game time approaches, all eyes will be on Indiana to see if they can deliver a strong performance and improve to 5-0.
