Colorado Football Hosts Arizona State in Final Home Game
BOULDER, Colo. — The Colorado Buffaloes will face the Arizona State Sun Devils for their final home game of the 2025 season on Saturday at 6 p.m. MT. This matchup at Folsom Field marks a farewell for 34 seniors.
This weekend’s game is significant, as it is the first between Colorado and Arizona State since both teams joined the Big 12 Conference. The last encounter took place on October 7, 2023, where Colorado clinched a close victory 27-24. Historically, Arizona State leads the series 10-4.
Colorado enters the game with a record of 3-7 overall and 1-6 in the Big 12. Amidst a challenging season, several players have achieved impressive milestones: Hayden has surpassed 1,000 career rushing yards, while both Miller and Williams have each broken the 1,000-yard mark in receiving.
True freshman quarterback Julian Lewis impressed in his debut, throwing for 299 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions against West Virginia. Coach Deion Sanders indicated that Lewis will get significant playing time as they build for the future.
Arizona State, sitting at 7-3 overall and 5-2 in the conference, has been hampered by injuries. Their starting quarterback, Sam Leavitt, is out after sustaining an injury, leaving fifth-year player Jeff Sims to lead the team. Despite these setbacks, Arizona State remains in contention for the Big 12 title.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN2, with Mike Monaco and Kirk Morrison providing play-by-play coverage. Fans can tune into the local radio broadcast on 850 KOA.
A key storyline to watch will be Colorado’s defense, which has struggled this season against mobile quarterbacks. Arizona State’s rushing attack, led by Raleek Brown, will challenge the Buffaloes’ defensive line. Colorado aims to finish strong and spoil Arizona State’s championship hopes as they look toward next season.
