Aj Aims For Heavyweight Glory Against Dubois

Anthony Joshua, or AJ as fans call him, is gearing up for a big fight next month. He’s set to battle Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium for the IBF heavyweight title.

Former cruiserweight champion Johnny Nelson weighed in on the heavyweight rankings, placing Joshua as the second best fighter in the world, right behind Oleksandr Usyk. Nelson even puts Joshua ahead of Tyson Fury, who has been a long-time rival of AJ’s.

Both Joshua and Fury have faced tough losses at the hands of Usyk. AJ lost twice to him in 2021 and 2022, while Fury suffered his first professional defeat in a huge match against Usyk earlier this year in Saudi Arabia.

Since those defeats, Joshua has made a strong comeback, winning four fights in a row. Now, he’s got the chance to reclaim the heavyweight title and become champion for the third time.

Fans are excited for the potential showdown between Joshua and Fury, which many hope can happen after both fighters get through their upcoming challenges. Joshua will face Dubois on September 20, and in December, Usyk and Fury are lined up for a rematch in Riyadh.

Nobody expects an easy match, and Nelson’s interview pointed out that some folks have been unfairly critical of Joshua’s chin. He mentioned that even Tyson Fury got rocked by Usyk, who is considered smaller compared to heavyweight boxers.

Nelson reminded fans that heavyweight boxing is unpredictable. He stated, “If you get hit on the chin, it’s going to hurt.” Overall, he’s urging fans to watch closely and not let biased opinions cloud their judgment regarding the fighters’ abilities.
