Alejandro Fernández Honors His Father with New Album ‘De Rey a Rey’

MEXICO CITY, Mexico — Alejandro Fernández launched his new album, ‘De Rey a Rey,’ on April 23, 2025, in a tribute to his father, the late Vicente Fernández, an iconic figure in ranchera music. The album signifies both an artistic achievement and a heartfelt gesture of gratitude for Vicente’s influence on the music industry.
Recorded live at the historic Plaza de Toros La México, the album features 26 songs that celebrate Vicente’s legacy, blending classic ranchera tunes with Alejandro’s personal interpretations. The album includes popular tracks such as ‘Volver, volver,’ ‘Estos celos,’ and ‘El Rey,’ as well as lesser-known pieces that hold special significance for the Fernández family.
