Amber Alert Issued for Missing 9-Year-Old in Durham

An Amber Alert was issued on Thursday night for a missing 9-year-old boy from Durham, North Carolina. Geon King-Parriett is described as a Black boy, approximately 4 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 100 pounds. The alert states that he was last seen wearing a black hoodie and sweatpants.

According to police, Geon is believed to be with his biological mother, Mariah King. Mariah is 33 years old, around 5 feet 4 inches tall, and weighs 140 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing gray sweatpants and a black crop top.

Authorities say that Geon and Mariah were seen leaving a home on foot in the 200 block of South Benjamine Street at about 6 p.m. on Thursday. The police are actively looking for the pair and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
