WICHITA, Kan. — Amber Glenn and Ilia Malinin clinched gold medals in the women’s and men’s senior events, respectively, at the 2025 Prevagen U.S. Figure Skating Championships on Friday. The competition, held at INTRUST Bank Arena, showcased top-tier performances from skaters across the nation.

Glenn, 25, secured her second consecutive national title with a score of 216.79, narrowly edging out Alysa Liu, who scored 215.33. Sarah Everhardt rounded out the podium with a bronze medal finish at 207.36. “It’s surreal to defend my title,” Glenn said. “The competition was fierce, and I’m grateful for the support of my team and fans.”

In the men’s event, 20-year-old Ilia Malinin delivered a dominant performance, earning 333.31 points and solidifying his status as one of the sport’s rising stars. Andrew Torgashev took silver with 286.49 points, while Camden Pulkinen claimed bronze with 252.92. “This is a dream come true,” Malinin said. “I’ve worked so hard for this moment, and it’s incredible to see it pay off.”

The pairs’ competition saw Alisa Efimova and Misha Mitrofanov take gold with a score of 211.90, followed by Katie McBeath and Daniil Parkman (190.57) and Ellie Kam and Danny O’Shea (189.57). In ice dance, Madison Chock and Evan Bates continued their reign, scoring 223.52 to claim their fifth national title. Christina Carreira and Anthony Ponomarenko earned silver, while Caroline Green and Michael Parsons took bronze.

The championships also highlighted the depth of talent in U.S. figure skating, with several young skaters making their mark. “This event is a testament to the future of our sport,” said U.S. Figure Skating President Anne Cammett. “The level of competition continues to rise, and we’re excited to see these athletes represent the U.S. on the international stage.”

The event was broadcast live on NBC Sports and Peacock, drawing millions of viewers nationwide. Skaters now turn their attention to the upcoming World Championships, where they will compete against the world’s best.
