Andorra Best Selling Vehicles Infographic 2024

ANDORRA LA VELLA, Andorra — In 2024, Andorra’s automotive market revealed unexpected trends with surprising shifts in consumer preferences, despite its small size. The picturesque nation, situated between France and Spain, covered just 181 square miles and housed a population of approximately 80,856, according to the latest census. The country’s financial landscape, rich in banking and insurance, supports a wealthier populace, contributing to an intriguing automotive market.

The infographic highlighting the best-selling vehicles in Andorra illustrates that the automotive industry faced ups and downs. In total, 2,379 vehicles were delivered, reflecting a decline of seven percent compared to 2023. Despite this overall drop, some brands and models stood out. The German automaker Porsche led the sales charts with a noteworthy 911 model, delivering 83 units, marking an impressive 41 percent increase from the previous year.

In a close second, another brand emerged, delivering 231 units, thus taking the top spot for the most sold brand in the country. This brand edged ahead of its competition, including Porsche. The identity of this brand, as well as the name of the vehicles involved, is expected to catch the interest of automotive enthusiasts.

Interestingly, the list of best-selling individual models featured a significant surprise. The Porsche 911’s strong performance was closely followed by a second model, which saw a staggering 135 percent increase in deliveries from 2023, with 47 units sold. The Porsche Cayenne and Macan also made the top four, highlighting a strong year for these luxury SUVs.

While premium brands dominated, the compact Suzuki Ignis made its mark by securing the tenth spot in sales with 35 units sold. However, as the best-selling marque in Andorra, Mercedes failed to secure a place in the top ten individual model list, despite its overall strong presence in the market.

Contextually, the 2024 figures provide valuable insight into Andorra’s unique automotive landscape, where choices are dictated by both economic conditions and consumer culture. Despite a small market, these sales figures can impact the global strategies of auto manufacturers, particularly luxury brands prioritizing their image in affluent regions.

Porsche delivered a record number of 310,718 vehicles globally in 2024, equating to a three percent decrease from 2023. The only region seeing significant drops in sales was China, with 28 percent fewer vehicles sold due to the ongoing economic challenges. A spokesperson from Porsche attributed this decline to “continuing challenging economic situations” impacting the marketplace.

As automobile enthusiasts analyze these sales dynamics within small markets like Andorra, questions arise about similar trends in other affluent locations such as Monte Carlo or Beverly Hills, California. This data not only enriches the understanding of individual markets but also prompts further exploration into how consumer behavior shifts within the luxury automotive sector.
