Ye’s Antisemitic Song Sparks Outrage Across Social Media Platforms

New York, NY – Rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, has released a new song titled “Heil Hitler,” which glorifies Adolf Hitler. The song and its companion track, “WW3,” have drawn significant backlash and have been shared widely on social media, particularly on X (formerly Twitter), where they have collectively amassed millions of views since their release on May 10, 2025.
Despite efforts by various tech platforms to remove the tracks, they have continued circulating online. Ye’s recent uploads on X include a video that has received over 6.5 million views and featured controversial influencer Andrew Tate playing the song in his car, garnering over 3 million views.
While some platforms, including Spotify and SoundCloud, initially hosted the song, they have since attempted to remove it following public outcry. Daniel Kelley, director of strategy and operations at the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), criticized Spotify for its lack of response to outreach about the song, prompting them to activate their volunteer base to demand its removal.
“Hate and antisemitism have absolutely no place on Reddit. We have strict rules against hateful content,” a spokesperson for Reddit stated. The platform is actively removing uploads of the song and any posts that celebrate it. On Facebook and YouTube, the song has also been found during investigations, with indications it may have been re-uploaded multiple times.
Ye’s account on X is verified, suggesting it may be eligible for monetization, although it remains unclear if he is profiting from the widespread shares. Some users have found ways around content bans on platforms by re-uploading cover versions of the song or embedding it within podcasts.
Ye’s controversial statements and actions over the past years have led to significant backlash, including the loss of major sponsorships and public outrage for his glorification of Hitler and discriminatory remarks against Jewish people. The release of this song marks a troubling continuation of such themes.
As of May 10, 2025, Ye has promoted a small music streaming app called Scrybe, which markets itself as a supportive platform for indie artists and lists Ye’s songs as trending. Despite the furor over his latest work, his influence in the digital music landscape remains apparent.
