Ariana Grande Makes A Comeback With Empowering Single 'yes, And?'

In a much-awaited return to the music scene, Ariana Grande has released her empowering new single titled ‘Yes, And?’. The Grammy Award-winning singer has kept herself occupied with various projects over the past year, including filming for the highly anticipated movie adaptation of ‘Wicked‘, running her successful cosmetics brand R.E.M. Beauty, and working on her upcoming album.

Ariana Grande’s newest album, set to release later this year, will mark her first in four years, making it the longest gap between albums in her career so far. The lead single, ‘Yes, And?’, produced by renowned pop producer Max Martin, showcases a groovy disco sound that has become popular among major pop artists in recent years.

The song’s lyrics address the criticism Grande has faced regarding her personal life over the past year. In the music video, critics are shown at the beginning, only to be proven wrong as Grande delivers a captivating performance in a warehouse. She confidently sings, ‘Don’t comment on my body, do not reply / Your business is yours and mine is mine / Why do you care so much whose d**k I ride?’

‘Yes, And?’ not only reflects Grande’s unapologetic attitude but also offers advice to past lovers who may still have feelings for her. The chorus encourages listeners to embrace their own light and be their best friend, stating, ‘If you find yourself in a dark situation / Just turn on your light and be like / ‘Yes, and?’/ Say that s**t with your chest, and / Be your own f**kin’ best friend.’

Further details about the upcoming album and additional singles are yet to be announced.
