Arizona Wildcats Linebacker Justin Flowe Enters Transfer Portal

TUCSON, Arizona — Arizona Wildcats linebacker Justin Flowe has entered the NCAA transfer portal on April 23, 2025. The five-star recruit, originally from Upland High School in California, arrived at Arizona after spending three seasons with the Oregon Ducks. Injuries plagued his time in Oregon, limiting him to just 12 games and 35 tackles over two years.
At Arizona, Flowe enjoyed success in his first season, recording a career-high 45 tackles, including a sack. However, his role diminished in 2024, where he participated in only four games as a special teams contributor, and did not record any stats.
Flowe’s transfer marks the fifth player to leave Arizona following the conclusion of spring practices. His path to Tucson included three seasons at Oregon, where he faced significant injury issues in 2020 and 2021. The pandemic-influenced 2020 season saw him sidelined for the entire year with a knee injury.
Even with the challenges he faced at Oregon, team coach Dan Lanning expressed gratitude for Flowe’s passion and energy. “I love Justin’s passion for the game; it’s fun to coach him,” Lanning had previously remarked.
Arizona head coach Brent Brennan will now look to fill the linebacker position after Flowe’s departure, as several Wildcats are expected to enter or remain in the transfer portal this offseason which significantly impacts their roster. Flowe’s exit comes amidst a backdrop of changes, as the NCAA transfer portal continues to influence college football dynamics.
As Flowe searches for his third and final college football home for the upcoming season, he hopes to reclaim his form and make an impact on a new team.
