Arkansas Dominates Creighton with 12-1 Victory in Regional Showdown

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas Razorbacks continued their impressive showing in the NCAA Fayetteville Regional, defeating the Creighton Bluejays 12-1 on Saturday night at Baum-Walker Stadium.
Led by standout performances from Wehiwa Aloy and Ryder Helfrick, who each hit multiple home runs, Arkansas (45-13) secured their place in the regional title game. The Razorbacks hit five home runs in total, securing a commanding victory that advanced them closer to the super regionals.
Aloy kicked off the scoring with a two-run home run in the fifth inning, contributing to his overall tally of two home runs and five RBIs. Helfrick matched Aloy’s performance, hitting a solo home run in the sixth and another in the seventh inning, showcasing Arkansas’s powerful offense.
Arkansas took a strong early lead, scoring four runs within the first three innings. Cam Kozeal was instrumental early in the game, hitting a home run in the second inning and driving in runs throughout the match.
On the pitching mound, Zach Root delivered an outstanding performance, throwing six shutout innings and striking out seven batters. His efforts helped Arkansas maintain a strong defensive posture as they rolled through the game.
The win sets Arkansas up for the regional final on Sunday night at 8 p.m. They will face the winner of the elimination game between Creighton and North Dakota State.
Arkansas is looking to host the super regional round for the sixth time overall and the fourth time since 2018, continuing a strong tradition of success at Baum-Walker Stadium.
