Arkansas Ole Miss Sec Tournament Basketball Matchup

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Arkansas Razorbacks (20-12, 8-10 SEC) face off against the Ole Miss Rebels (21-10, 10-8 SEC) on Thursday, March 13, 2025, in the second round of the SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament at Bridgestone Arena. The game is scheduled to tip off at 12 p.m. CDT and will be broadcast live on the SEC Network.

This matchup marks the 88th meeting between the two programs, with Arkansas leading the series 52-35. They previously met during the regular season on January 8, when Ole Miss edged Arkansas 73-66. In that game, junior forward led the Razorbacks with 17 points and nine rebounds.

Arkansas enters the game after securing their 20th win of the season, defeating the South Carolina Gamecocks 72-68 in the first round of the SEC Tournament. Although the Hogs held a 20-point advantage, South Carolina closed the gap to just one point late in the game. Junior forward contributed significantly for Arkansas, scoring 16 points on 5 of 9 shooting, while senior forward added 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Looking to bounce back from a challenging stretch, Ole Miss has struggled lately with a record of 6-10 since their last encounter with Arkansas. Their most recent victory came on March 5 against an opponent, winning 78-76, but they suffered a 90-71 defeat to Florida in their last outing.

The Rebels have six players averaging double digits in scoring this season, with senior guard leading the team at 15.1 points per game.

Arkansas head coach emphasized the importance of resilience in his team, stating, “We figured out how to win them. Did we let people back in the game with a chance to beat us? Yes. All of them. This team has withstood all of it.” He expressed confidence that his players have developed strength through adversity.

Tonight’s tilt promises to be a high-stakes battle as both teams vie for advancement in the SEC Tournament, with Arkansas aiming for redemption after their previous defeat to Ole Miss. Fans can catch the action at Bridgestone Arena or tune in to various local radio stations scattered across Arkansas and surrounding areas.
