Atlético Nacional to Feature Youth Star in Match Against Llaneros

Medellín, Colombia — Atlético Nacional will welcome Llaneros this Sunday for the 18th round of the Fútbol Profesional Colombiano (FPC). Coach Javier Gandolfi has chosen to field an alternate lineup, prioritizing preparations for the upcoming CONMEBOL Libertadores match against Bahia on Wednesday.
Nacional recently achieved a 3-1 victory over Internacional at home, securing their spot in Group F of the tournament. The team currently sits second in the group and will play their final home match against Bahia before concluding the group stage in Uruguay against Nacional.
In a notable change, Gandolfi has decided to rest his usual starters for the upcoming game against Llaneros. None of the 11 players who started the match against Internacional will be part of the squad this weekend.
A standout inclusion in the roster is 19-year-old Luis Miguel Landázuri, marking his first call-up to the senior team. Landázuri, who played a few minutes in the last match against Internacional, has been recognized as a promising talent. He has been part of Atlético Nacional’s youth academy and recently played for the Colombian U20 national team, where he participated in 12 matches.
Landázuri is a versatile midfielder known for his strong offensive play and good ball control. His skill allows him to effectively engage in both attacks and defense, demonstrating flexibility in his playing style. He has notably impressed during the recent South American U20 Championship in Venezuela, helping Colombia to a third-place finish.
