Barça Legends Vs Real Madrid Leyendas Qatar

The Khalifa International Stadium in Doha, Qatar, is set to host a unique football event with the “Legends El Clasico” match on November 28, 2024. This event will see the legendary players of FC Barcelona and Real Madrid, two of the most storied clubs in football history, face off once again.

The match, organized by Visit Qatar, will commence at 7pm local time and tickets are scheduled to go on sale starting October 10, 2024. The game will mark the third encounter between these two teams of former greats. Their first meeting occurred in 2017, where Barcelona emerged victorious with a 3-2 win, courtesy of Ludovic Giuly securing two goals and Simao contributing with one. The second match in 2021 saw Real Madrid Leyendas win by the same scoreline, with Barça’s goals coming from Ronaldinho and Jofre.

In a statement, event organizers expressed that the spectacle is not just a display of football skills but a “celebration of the rich history, passion, and rivalry that have defined these two clubs for decades.” They noted the unique allure of seeing legends from the past reignite the competitive spirit that has entertained millions over the years.

The roster for the Barça Legends team is yet to be finalized, with coach Albert Ferrer expected to announce the names of the players traveling to Qatar in the coming days. This match is part of the Barça Legends programme, initiated in 2016, which aims to bring together former stars in a stable project, enhancing the global stature of FC Barcelona and promoting the club’s values worldwide.

The “Legends El Clasico” adds to the list of events celebrating FC Barcelona’s enduring legacy and showcases the timeless skills of football icons, further cementing the historic rivalry between these prestigious Spanish clubs.
