Fc Barcelona Presents Espai Barça Project At Essma Conference

The Espai Barça project was showcased at the ESSMA conference, held at the Johan Cruijff ArenA in Amsterdam. Raul Alvarez, the Technical Area Manager of Espai Barça, presented the project’s technical aspects during his speech on “Transforming our Club and our city”. He discussed the current progress of the project and highlighted key architectural details that will set it apart in the industry.

Alvarez emphasized the features that make Espai Barça unique and the significant transformation it will bring to FC Barcelona‘s facilities in the Les Corts neighborhood. The project aims to improve stadium integration with the city, promote sustainable mobility, and incorporate environmentally friendly measures.

Espai Barça is one of the most ambitious ventures in sports and entertainment, aiming to modernize the club’s home and facilities to create new spaces, generate additional revenue, and enhance the overall experience. During the presentation, Alvarez showcased renderings of the future Spotify Camp Nou and various new spaces. He also provided insights into the stadium’s design, including the two new VIP rings situated between the second and third tiers and the Barça Hub entry point. The design ensures that the iconic 1957 façade remains visible by creating a GAP between the current stand and the new stadium’s facade.

The ESSMA conference is a leading event in the stadium industry, bringing together representatives from leagues and federations worldwide. Attendees gained firsthand information on the progress of Espai Barça, with the construction of the new third tier well underway. Additionally, they learned about the project’s distinctive architectural elements.
