Belal Muhammad Exudes Confidence Before Rakhmonov Title Defense

CHICAGO, Ill. — Belal Muhammad is set to defend his UFC welterweight title against Shavkat Rakhmonov, the undefeated contender known for his finishing ability, in early 2025. Muhammad, who took the championship from Leon Edwards on July 27, 2024, at UFC 304, expressed confidence in his fight style ahead of the matchup.

Despite facing a setback that forced him to withdraw from their originally scheduled bout at UFC 310, Muhammad’s resolve remains firm. He stated, “I will be in his face the whole time, and it will have the same result – another guy breaks.” Muhammad secured the title with a dominant performance in Manchester, England, managing to maintain relentless pressure and showcasing superior grappling skills.

Rakhmonov, who has finished seven out of his eight UFC opponents, presents a significant challenge. The Kazakhstani fighter possesses a well-rounded skill set that combines striking with elite grappling techniques.
