Bill Clinton Campaigning For Kamala Harris In Pennsylvania

Former President Bill Clinton has been actively campaigning for Vice President Kamala Harris in the final days leading up to the presidential election. On Saturday, November 2, Clinton spoke at Steamfitters Local 449 in Jackson Township, Pennsylvania, urging the audience to support Harris in her bid against former President Donald Trump.

Clinton was joined by several prominent figures, including U.S. Sen. John Fetterman, state Sen. Jay Costa, Butler County Commissioner Kevin Boozel, and Catherine Lalonde, the chairwoman of the Butler County Democratic Committee. Together, they emphasized the importance of electing Harris and highlighted her economic policies, which Clinton argued would benefit the middle class and lower-income individuals.

Clinton criticized Trump for taking credit for economic growth that began under the Obama administration. He noted that 8 million jobs were created in the two years before Trump took office, while 6.5 million jobs were created during Trump’s administration. Clinton also praised the Biden-Harris administration for securing the passage of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law of 2021, which has created jobs across the country.

In his speech, Clinton outlined Harris’ plans to address the cost of living, infrastructure, and grocery prices. He mentioned that Harris would ensure big chain grocery stores and suppliers are not price gouging and would provide first-time homebuyers with up to $25,000 to help with down payments. Clinton also highlighted Harris’ energy plans, which include natural gas, oil, solar, and wind energy.

In a separate event, Clinton’s comments on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict have sparked controversy. Speaking in Michigan, Clinton’s attempt to explain away Palestinian deaths and justify Israeli actions was met with criticism from Arab American voters and advocacy groups, who accused him of being insensitive and dishonest.
