BJP Shows Strong Performance in 2024 Elections Despite Mixed Results in Key States
As the Lok Sabha Election Result 2024 unfolds, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is making a strong performance despite facing mixed results in key states. In Uttar Pradesh, the India Alliance is currently leading with 43 seats, while the BJP is close behind with 36 seats. The saga of political counting continues as the Samajwadi Party and Congress alliance has managed to surpass the BJP in the state.
Analysing the trends, Congress is ahead in 7 seats, indicating a significant revival for the party. Meanwhile, Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) in Baghpat and Bijnor is also leading in both seats, adding to the political tally.
Reflecting on the 2019 election results, the BJP is not completely repeating its five-year-old history, but the duo of Akhilesh Yadav and Rahul Gandhi seems to be waving a new flag of success.
Key battlegrounds showcase BJP’s lead in various constituencies. By 12:26 PM, the BJP is in the lead in Sambhal, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Bulandshahr, Hathras, Mathura, Agra, Fatehpur Sikri, Badaun, Amroha, Barelly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, and Hardoi.
In the ongoing trends, the Samajwadi Party is leading in Uttar Pradesh with 32.87% of votes, followed by BSP at 9.16%, Congress at 10.40%, and BJP at 41.53%. The seat distribution stands at: SP – 37, BJP- 32, Congress – 8, RL – 2, and Chandrashekhar Azad on one seat.
