Bloober Team Silent Hill Remake

KRAKÓW, PolandBloober Team has confirmed it is developing a remake of the original Silent Hill game following the success of its recent Silent Hill 2 remake. The announcement was made during the Konami Press Start event on June 12, 2025.

The original Silent Hill launched on PlayStation in 1999 and follows protagonist Harry Mason‘s search for his missing adopted daughter, Cheryl. The game’s haunting atmosphere and eerie design made it a staple in the survival horror genre.

After receiving positive responses and over two million sales for Silent Hill 2, the Polish developer is now stepping back in time to recreate the franchise’s first installment. Konami’s teaser featured the Silent Hill logo emerging from ominous fog, accompanied by Akira Yamaoka‘s iconic theme.

Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating, “Our partnership with Konami has been incredibly fruitful, and the success of Silent Hill 2 speaks for itself. We are eager to share something truly special with players.”

Despite the team’s cautious approach, having faced skepticism about their ability to handle such beloved material, the reception of the Silent Hill 2 remake has paved the way for further projects.

“The success of Silent Hill 2 helped reshape how the world sees us. But the pressure didn’t vanish — it just changed color,” Babieno noted.

There are currently no details regarding the release date or platforms for the new Silent Hill remake. Fans are left wondering when they might experience the rebirth of this classic horror title.

As Bloober Team’s journey continues, it is clear that they aim to honor the original while bringing fresh elements to the story. With a history of delivering captivating narratives and immersive gameplay, expectations remain high for this upcoming project.
