Booker T Ted Dibiase Wrestling Podcast

HOUSTON, Texas — On the latest episode of the Hall of Fame podcast, wrestling legend Booker T highlighted Ken Shamrock‘s qualifications for induction into the WWE Hall of Fame, while WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase Sr. spoke on his podcast about Hulk Hogan‘s impact on the wrestling industry and more.

Booker T expressed his belief that WWE is delaying Shamrock’s induction to give the former wrestler his deserving moment. “I think the company is waiting to give Shamrock his own moment, because he deserves it. Ken Shamrock deserves to be in the WWE Hall of Fame. He really does. He was a huge part of that era,” Booker T stated. “And you know, who don’t remember Ken Shamrock and the WWE? He was huge, man.”

In addition to discussing Shamrock, Booker T shared his optimistic views on rising star Montez Ford. He noted Ford’s charismatic persona and strong presence both inside and outside the wrestling ring. “A guy like Montez Ford, he checks off pretty much all of those boxes,” said Booker. “He’s good-looking. He’s in great shape. He could talk… it’s just going to be about being in the right place at the right time.”

Booker T reflected on his own career, emphasizing how his journey in tag team wrestling with Harlem Heat provided a significant launchpad for his success. “No way I would have got as far as I got in my career without my brother and being in that tag team,” he said. “My career would have been over probably 10 years before that… Having that springboard coming out of a tag team, going into singles wrestling, helped me out a lot.”

Simultaneously, Ted DiBiase Sr. shared insights on Hulk Hogan’s legacy on his podcast, “Everybody’s Got A Pod.” He discussed Hogan’s understanding of wrestling psychology, stating, “Hulk Hogan became Hulk Hogan because… he understood the psychology of professional wrestling and was great.” DiBiase elaborated on how Hogan’s charisma and stage presence contributed more to his success than his technical wrestling skills. “He wasn’t a great on-the-mat wrestler, but he knew his character, and he played it well, very well,” DiBiase added.

DiBiase also touched on his friendship with Greg Valentine, recalling their first meeting and highlighting Valentine’s contributions to the wrestling world. “Greg’s always been a nice guy. He was just very slow… great worker. Great in the ring, and definitely knew what he was doing,” DiBiase said.

Both podcasts offer introspective takes on the art of wrestling and the journeys of its most influential figures, shedding light on what it takes to reach Hall of Fame status in a highly competitive industry.
