BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Luka Zrno, a 6-foot-7 wing from Bosnia and Herzegovina, committed to the Indiana Hoosiers on Friday, becoming the second addition to the team’s 2025 recruiting class. Zrno chose Indiana over offers from Wisconsin, Creighton, and Virginia after visiting all four schools in recent weeks.

Zrno, who currently plays for BC Slavija in the Bosnian BiH Liga, is known for his prolific shooting and all-around skills. He averages 18.3 points per game, shooting 46.7% from behind the 3-point line, along with 4 assists, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game. His professional experience includes two years in Latvia before returning to Bosnia this season.

“He’s 6-7, his body is ready to compete at the highest level,” said Stevan Petrovic, Zrno’s adviser. “He’s the type of player who can score at any time. He has very good percentages outside the 3-point line. He’s not only a scorer or shooter. He can drive, finish around the basket strong, and he catches alley oops. He’s a good defender. Loves to pass the ball to his teammates. He’s just an all-around player.”

Zrno’s film highlights his tight shot mechanics, quick release, and high release point, which should make him difficult to guard at the college level. He joins Montverde Academy forward Jalen Haralson, an Indiana native, in the Hoosiers’ 2025 class.

Assistant coach Brian Walsh led the recruitment effort, but Petrovic emphasized the collective role of the coaching staff and the program’s history in Zrno’s decision. “Brian was absolutely marvelous and outstanding, not to mention others as well, the whole coaching staff,” Petrovic said. “But the fan base, the atmosphere at the game against USC, facilities, talking to people around the campus, the city, everything clicked together, to be honest with you. The history of the program was, I would say, the triggering point for him in the decision.”

Zrno, who will turn 21 this year, will enroll as a freshman in the fall. His commitment adds international depth to Indiana’s roster, with the Hoosiers hoping his professional experience translates to immediate impact in the Big Ten.
