Buffalo Waterfront Parks Closed Due To High Winds

The City of Buffalo has made the decision to close all Waterfront Parks until further notice due to the forecasted heavy winds. Mayor Byron Brown announced the closure in a tweet, urging residents to exercise caution over the weekend.

Governor Kathy Hochul also addressed the upcoming storm, declaring a state of emergency across Western New York. She advised Buffalo Bills fans to stay informed about the forecast, drive safely to and from the game, and consider watching from the comfort of their homes if they don’t have tickets.

The closure of Waterfront Parks aims at ensuring public safety in the face of potentially dangerous wind conditions. The parks will remain closed until further notice, and residents are encouraged to stay updated through local authorities.
