Canadian Golfer Maude Aimée Leblanc Holds Top Spot At Fir Hills Seri Pak Championship

Canadian golfer Maude-Aimée Leblanc showcased her talent at the Fir Hills Seri Pak championship in Los Angeles, hitting a remarkable 64, elevating her to the top spot at the LPGA event.

At 35 years old, Leblanc, originally from Sherbrooke, demonstrated exceptional skill, ending the round with three consecutive birdies at the Club de golf Palos Verdes, finishing with a stellar performance of seven-under-par.

Reflecting on her game, Leblanc expressed satisfaction with her ball-striking abilities and highlighted her solid putting performance, closing the day without a bogey.

The only player to deliver an error-free round, Leblanc emphasized her consistency and credited her caddie for assisting in navigating the challenging greens that can be deceptive to read.

Among the three Canadian competitors in the field, Leblanc was joined by Brooke Henderson, who carded a 68, and Savannah Grewal, who posted a 69, finishing in 7th and 14th places respectively in the California tournament.

Rookie LPGA Tour participant Malia Nam secured the second position with a strong round of 65, showcasing the depth of talent at the Fir Hills Seri Pak championship.
