Carlito Captures WWC Puerto Rico Championship at Summer Madness

BAYAMÓN, Puerto Rico — Carlito, a member of WWE’s Judgment Day faction, has claimed the WWC Puerto Rico Championship after defeating Ray González at WWC’s Summer Madness event on May 31. The event took place at the Pepín Cestero Arena.
This victory marks Carlito’s second reign as champion, having first held the title in 2014. His recent triumph at Summer Madness is a significant comeback, as it was his first appearance for the World Wrestling Council since 2023, following his return to WWE.
WWE RAW General Manager Adam Pearce authorized Carlito to compete at the event, where he joined fellow Judgment Day members Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, and Dominik Mysterio, all of whom currently hold titles. This victory leaves Finn Balor as the only member of the group without a championship.
While conversing with Metro’s Alistair McGeorge, Carlito emphasized his focus on enjoying his time in wrestling rather than fixating on dream matches. “I’m just here to have fun and work, and leave some body of work before I go,” he said.
Notably, Carlito’s last appearance for WWC before Saturday night was during its 50th Anniversary show in June 2023. The Wrestler acknowledges that his career is winding down but remains committed to making the most of his time in the ring.
