Carrie Underwood Reflection Residency Finale Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Carrie Underwood concluded her acclaimed “Reflection” residency at Resorts World Theatre on Saturday night, pouring her heart into a performance that culminated in a dramatic finale.

Underwood, who has performed 72 shows since launching her residency in November 2021, exited the stage as the longest-running headliner at Resorts World Theatre. The show closed with an exuberant rendition of “Something in the Water,” a number enhanced by an impressive waterfall and acrobatic displays reminiscent of Cirque du Soleil‘s style.

“We are so blessed to have done 72 shows over the past 3 1/2 years. Thank you so much to everyone who has come out, many, many times!” Underwood said, her voice tinged with emotion as she addressed the packed audience.

The performance was marked by numerous costume changes and a series of high-energy numbers, including the fan-favorite “Before He Cheats,” during which Underwood dramatically lit a prop Jeep on fire. The finale, however, will be forever memorable for the rain of water that cascaded over her as she waved goodbye.

As the final notes rang out, Underwood’s tears—perhaps from the emotional weight of the moment—blended with the water surrounding her, making for an unforgettable send-off.

Underwood’s significance to the success of Resorts World Theatre cannot be overstated. She was instrumental in its opening and brought a unique flair to the venue. With her departure, the theater looks ahead to upcoming performances by other stars, including Janet Jackson and various one-off events scheduled throughout the year.

“It was an incredible 3 1/2 years, and while I’m sad to say goodbye, I’m excited for what lies ahead,” Underwood noted during her closing remarks.

The next acts at Resorts World include Janet Jackson from May 21-31, while AEG Presents works on filling the venue’s calendar for the rest of the year.

Underwood’s farewell marks a significant moment for both her and the Las Vegas theater landscape, symbolizing the end of an era but also setting the stage for new opportunities and performances.

In other news from Las Vegas, the music scene remains vibrant with various tributes to the late Elaine Wynn, a casino executive who significantly influenced the Las Vegas Strip and education in Nevada. Her legacy continues to inspire many in arts and philanthropy.
