Celtic Draws Livingston In Scottish Cup Quarter Finals

The quarter-final pairings for the Scottish Gas Men’s Scottish Cup have been unveiled following a draw conducted at the Excelsior Stadium before the Airdrieonians and Hearts match. Steven MacLean, a key goal-scorer for St Johnstone in 2014, performed the draw which set up exciting clashes for the last eight teams.

Having recently triumphed over St Mirren, Celtic, the defending champions, are now set to face off against Scottish Premiership bottom side Livingston. With an impeccable Cup record, Celtic will be aiming to continue their winning streak with star performers like Kyogo and Daizen Maeda in top form.

Across the draw, Hibs have a challenging match ahead as they prepare to host Rangers in a repeat of the 2016 Scottish Cup Final. The encounter promises to reignite past rivalries and offers the chance for one of the teams to advance to the semi-finals.

In another intriguing quarter-final tie, Aberdeen, guided by experienced manager Neil Warnock, will take on Kilmarnock led by former Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes at Pittodrie. This clash adds a layer of personal history to the match as both managers face off against their former clubs.

Morton, following their remarkable victory over Premiership side Motherwell, will have a home fixture against either Airdrieonians or Hearts. The Greenock side will be looking to continue their giant-killing run in the competition against potentially formidable opponents.

Each team now stands on the brink of a coveted place in the semi-finals, with the lure of a trip to Hampden for the Scottish Cup final motivating them to give their all in the upcoming quarter-final matches scheduled for the weekend of March 9.
