Chase to Launch Refreshed Sapphire Reserve and New Business Card

NEW YORK, NY – Chase confirmed on Monday that it will unveil a redesigned Sapphire Reserve credit card and a new business version this summer.
The announcement follows months of rumors about significant changes to the popular credit card. Chase’s marketing campaign kicked off in New York City, featuring images of the updated Sapphire Reserve card, which is said to look more premium than the current version.
The company plans to launch the new cards by June 20, coinciding with the start of summer travel season. While Chase has not revealed specific details about the card changes or features of the upcoming business card, many anticipate an increase in the annual fee, currently set at $550.
“Rewards are about to get more rewarding,” said a Chase spokesperson during the announcement. Speculation suggests the refreshed Sapphire Reserve could come with new lifestyle perks that offset the potential fee increase.
This is not the first time Chase has adjusted fees while introducing new benefits. Previous updates for its United cards showed a pattern of raising fees while offering new statement credits to enhance cardholder value.
As existing cardholders await further details, many industry insiders recommend waiting to see the full announcement before making any changes to their accounts. New welcome bonuses are also expected when the new cards launch.
Chase’s decision to refresh its Sapphire Reserve card signals a competitive push in the premium credit card market, especially against other high-end cards from Capital One and American Express.
The financial community is eagerly watching for additional announcements that clarify when these cards will be available and what unique features they may include.
