Oklahoma City, OK – Chet Holmgren will not play in Tuesday’s matchup against the Sacramento Kings due to tightness in his back. This marks the first game Holmgren has missed this season.

The Thunder (4-0) ruled out Holmgren for the home game, which is the second part of a back-to-back schedule. On Monday, he recorded 18 points, 11 rebounds, and four blocks in 32 minutes during Oklahoma City’s 101-94 victory at Dallas.

In a critical moment of that game, Holmgren made two free throws with just 3.3 seconds remaining to help secure the win, marking the Thunder’s third road victory this season. He is averaging 23.0 points and 10.3 rebounds per game this year, showcasing his significant contribution to the team’s early success.

The Thunder are also without guard Alex Caruso, who is still recovering from a concussion. However, he is expected to play on Tuesday after being in concussion protocol. The Thunder continue to navigate player injuries, hoping to maintain their undefeated streak.

Despite missing Holmgren, the Thunder are prepared to face the Kings and aim to extend their winning record.
