Chloe Fineman Shares Restaurant Run-In with Demi Moore

NEW YORK CITY — Comedian and actress Chloe Fineman recounted a tense encounter with a restaurant manager after greeting actress Demi Moore at a popular Italian restaurant earlier this week. Fineman shared the story during a TikTok video, detailing the incident that unfolded at Sant Ambroeus on Madison Avenue.
On a day Fineman described as “the best day of our lives,” she and her sister Emma enjoyed visits to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and a pilates class before heading to the restaurant for a meal. “We went to the Met, we went to an Alo pilates thing — very New York,” Fineman said, joking that the Upper East Side is a “food desert.”
Upon entering Sant Ambroeus, Fineman found several empty tables. She was seated and soon noticed Moore and her dog, Pilaf, nearby. “I walk into a room and there are several empty tables…I see Demi Moore and was like, ‘Oh, hi! We’ve met once or twice and I’ve held Pilaf,’” Fineman recalled.
However, the atmosphere shifted when the restaurant manager approached her. “I guess I didn’t realize you have to talk to another Italian guy to get a seat even though there’s a thousand empty tables,” Fineman remarked. The manager questioned her presence and demanded she follow him to a different part of the room, which prompted a heated exchange.
Fineman found herself defending her presence, asserting, “Calm down, I’m not nobody. I’m on SNL,” which added an element of humor to the otherwise strained situation. The manager, undeterred, insisted he treats everyone equally regardless of their fame.
“I called him rude, and he called me rude,” she said, explaining that she eventually removed herself from the situation. Fineman humorously noted, “You could call it a Karen moment, but I also call it living in New York and everyone is rude as f—.”
Musician Samantha Ronson, who witnessed the interaction, commented on Fineman’s TikTok, calling the manager’s behavior “so rude.” Fineman responded warmly, suggesting the group should meet up at a more pleasant West Village location next time.
Fineman, who has been a full-time cast member of “Saturday Night Live” since 2021, continues to share her humorous take on the ups and downs of celebrity encounters.
