LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Country music star Chris Stapleton and his wife, Morgane Stapleton, have pledged $1 million through their foundation, Outlaw State of Kind, to aid wildfire relief efforts in Los Angeles. The donation, announced on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2025, will support 20 organizations addressing the devastation caused by recent wildfires.

The couple’s contribution will benefit national organizations such as the American Red Cross, Direct Relief: California Fire Relief, and Save The Children: Children’s Emergency Fund. Local Los Angeles groups, including the California Community Foundation: Wildfire Recovery Fund and the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation: LAFD Wildfire Emergency Fund, will also receive support.

“Outlaw State of Kind has donated $1 million to support national and local organizations providing wildfire relief in Los Angeles. Join us in supporting however you can,” the foundation wrote in an Instagram post.

The announcement comes in response to the ongoing wildfires, including the Palisades and Eaton Fires, which began on Jan. 7, 2025. The Palisades Fire has burned 23,448 acres and is 96% contained, while the Eaton Fire has consumed 14,021 acres and is 99% contained. Together, these fires have destroyed over 16,000 structures and displaced numerous communities.

In addition to wildfire relief, the donation will support charities focused on the arts, food security, and animal welfare. The Stapletons’ philanthropic efforts highlight their commitment to aiding those affected by natural disasters.

Chris Stapleton, 46, and Morgane Stapleton, 42, have long been involved in charitable work through their foundation. Their latest contribution underscores the urgent need for resources to rebuild and support communities devastated by the wildfires.
