Christian McCaffrey Shines Despite NFL Discipline in Week 10 Matchup
San Francisco, CA — Christian McCaffrey continued his stellar NFL season in Week 10, leading the San Francisco 49ers to a 34-24 victory against the New York Giants. The star running back rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown on 28 carries, while also catching five passes for 67 yards and another touchdown. With this performance, McCaffrey improved the 49ers’ record to 6-3.
McCaffrey’s achievement marks his 16th game with both a rushing and receiving touchdown, setting a new record for the most in league history, surpassing Marshall Faulk.
The game did not come without its controversies. McCaffrey faced a risky tackle from Giants defensive back Dane Belton, who tripped him during a play. The NFL later fined Belton $7,201 for the action. Belton, a former fourth-round pick, is in the final year of his four-year, $4.44 million contract with the Giants.
Looking ahead, the New York Giants are set to face the Chicago Bears, whose offense has shown significant improvements recently, including a 47-point performance against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 10. Meanwhile, McCaffrey and the 49ers will prepare to take on the Los Angeles Rams.
