Colin Farrell And Emma Fogarty Dublin City Marathon

Actor Colin Farrell has made headlines for his heartfelt and charitable endeavor by completing the 2024 Dublin City Marathon alongside his close friend Emma Fogarty. Fogarty, who is the longest-surviving person in Ireland with the rare genetic skin condition Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), was pushed by Farrell in a wheelchair for the last 4km of the race.

The duo’s participation in the marathon was a celebration of Fogarty’s 40th birthday and a significant fundraising effort for Debra Ireland, a charity that supports individuals with EB. So far, they have raised an impressive €700,000, approximately $755,000, for the cause.

Farrell, known for his acting career and his advocacy for various causes, expressed his gratitude for the ‘incredible support’ they received during the event. This gesture is just one example of his commitment to helping others, as he also runs the Colin Farrell Foundation, which provides resources to adults with intellectual disabilities, including his own son who has Angelman syndrome.

The Dublin City Marathon saw over 22,000 participants this year, and Farrell and Fogarty’s achievement has been widely praised for its inspirational and charitable impact. The event highlighted not only their physical endurance but also their dedication to raising awareness and funds for a rare and debilitating condition).
