Kettan Singh swiftly issued an apology to Karan Johar following the public backlash. In an exclusive interaction with India Today, Singh expressed shock and regret over offending the renowned director. However, he remains uncertain about the specific aspects of his mimicry that upset Johar.
Regarding the incident, Kettan Singh mentioned, “While rehearsing and filming the impersonation, there was no indication of it being offensive. I am still uncertain about the exact reason for his disappointment. Nevertheless, I wholeheartedly extend my apologies to Karan Johar for any discomfort caused.”
The comedian further reflected on the gravity of the situation, acknowledging Karan Johar’s stature in the industry. Singh noted his limited means of communication with Johar and expressed doubts about the effectiveness of reaching out via social media. As a result, he opted to convey his regret through media reports.
