Cristiano Ronaldo To Miss Much Awaited Reunion With Lionel Messi Due To Injury

Cristiano Ronaldo, the renowned Portuguese footballer, will unfortunately miss the highly anticipated reunion with his longtime rival Lionel Messi due to injury, as confirmed by Al-Nassr coach Luis Castro. Ronaldo is currently recovering from a calf injury and will not be fit to participate in the exhibition match being held in Riyadh on Thursday.

Castro stated during a news conference that Ronaldo is in the final stage of his recuperation and is expected to rejoin the team soon. However, this means that he will be absent for the game against Inter Miami.

Messi and Ronaldo, who played for Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively, had a fierce rivalry during their time in Spain. They have remarkably won 13 out of the last 15 Ballon d'Or awards, which recognize the world’s best player. The clash between these two legends was seen as the highlight of Miami’s pre-season tour, including two games in Saudi Arabia.

Unfortunately, Ronaldo’s injury led to the postponement of two exhibition matches in China for Al-Nassr. In the recent Miami game, Messi managed to score, but his long-awaited face-off with Ronaldo will have to wait for another occasion.
