George Pickens Dallas Cowboys Touchdown Celebration

ARLINGTON, Texas — The Dallas Cowboys jumped off to a sizzling start in Week 7, with the energy palpable before the kickoff. A video shared by Jon Machota of The Athletic went viral, showing star quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver George Pickens leading their teammates in a lively pre-game huddle.

Pickens, traded from the Pittsburgh Steelers, has been flourishing since joining the Cowboys. Rumors about his past as a difficult teammate in Pittsburgh have faded as he has shown exemplary conduct in his new environment. As of Week 7, he has made 32 receptions, ranking fourth in the league with 525 receiving yards and tied for first with a career-high six touchdowns.

Earlier this week, Prescott expressed his intention to discuss a long-term contract extension for Pickens with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. Pickens is currently in a contract year. “When I run into him in that time of privacy, I’ll make sure,” Prescott said, highlighting Pickens’ positive impact on the team.

Additionally, Cowboys place kicker Brandon Aubrey has made headlines with his impressive kicking ability. In their Week 7 matchup, he hit two field goals, including a staggering 61-yarder, marking the fifth time in his career he has made a kick of at least 60 yards. Aubrey is now 14-for-14 this season, continuing to assert himself as a significant asset for the Cowboys.

Aubrey is also eligible for a contract extension, and the team is expected to prioritize securing him soon. His ability to score from long distances makes him an invaluable player that the Cowboys cannot afford to lose.
