Dhanush Cheers for Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s ‘Lal Salaam’ on Release Day

The highly anticipated sports drama film ‘Lal Salaam’, directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth, finally hit theaters today, February 9th. The movie stars Rajinikanth, Vishnu Vishal, and Vikranth, with Thalaivar making an extended cameo appearance. Prior to its release, actor Dhanush, who is Aishwarya’s ex-husband, showed his support and excitement for the film on his official social media handle.

In his post, Dhanush expressed his enthusiasm for ‘Lal Salaam’, saying, ‘Lal Salaam from today!’ The film features Vishnu Vishal, Vikranth, Dhanya Balakrishnan, Vivek Prasanna, and KS Ravi Kumar in lead roles. Dhanush had previously sent his best wishes to the team, calling Rajinikanth a ‘superstar’ and ‘thalaivar’.

Just a few days before the release, Rajinikanth himself watched the film’s trailer along with some close people at his Poes Garden house. A video of his reaction went viral, showcasing his admiration and excitement for the movie. He looked emotional and flashed a big smile as the trailer ended.

‘Lal Salaam’ is a sports drama that promotes religious harmony, featuring Rajinikanth in the role of Moideen Bhai. Cricket legend Kapil Dev also appears in a special cameo. The film, written by Vishnu Rangasamy, boasts a talented ensemble cast including Vignesh, Livingston, Senthil, Jeevitha, KS Ravikumar, Thambi Ramaiah, Nirosha, Vivek Prasanna, and Dhanya Balakrishna. Aishwarya Rajinikanth helms the director’s chair, marking her directorial comeback.

In an interview, Aishwarya praised Rajinikanth’s professionalism and dedication on set, describing working with him as a ‘masterclass’ experience. She also expressed her admiration for the acclaimed musician AR Rahman, stating that he is an embodiment of truth and sincerity. AR Rahman has composed the music for ‘Lal Salaam’.
