Los Angeles Dodgers Celebrating Victory Against Miami Marlins

MIAMI — The Los Angeles Dodgers regained their winning momentum with a 7-4 victory over the Miami Marlins on Monday night, marking their eighth win in the last nine games. The Dodgers’ success continues as they face off against the Marlins in the second game of this series.

Right-hander Tony Gonsolin is scheduled to take the mound for Los Angeles, while the Marlins will counter with righty Cal Quantrill. However, the Dodgers will be missing two key players in this matchup.

Outfielder Teoscar Hernández has been placed on the injured list due to a groin strain and is expected to miss at least a week. Hernández suffered the injury while chasing a fly ball during Monday’s game. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts confirmed the injury and described it as a Grade-1 adductor strain.

“He’s going to be inactive for a while,” Roberts said. “It’s certainly going to be several weeks.”

In response to Hernández’s absence, the team called up James Outman from Triple-A Oklahoma City. Outman will join a reshuffled starting lineup, which will also feature Hyeseong Kim and Miguel Rojas, as regular starter Mookie Betts takes a scheduled day off.

“We’ll give Mookie a breather and give some other guys a look,” Roberts noted. “It’s going to be more of a platoon-based roster.”

The lineup for Tuesday’s game includes star players such as Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman. Gonsolin, in his second game back from injury, aims to help the Dodgers secure another win and maintain their strong performance this season.

First pitch for the Dodgers vs. Marlins is set for 3:40 p.m. PT/6:40 p.m. ET, and the game will be broadcast on SNLA.
