Draper and Machac Triumph in Doubles at Monte-Carlo Masters

MONTE-CARLO, Monaco — Jack Draper and Tomas Machac advanced in doubles at the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters on April 7, 2025, with a hard-fought 6-3, 7-6(4) victory over their opponents. The duo showed strong chemistry and resilience, having recently partnered during the Indian Wells tournament last month.

Both players faced challenges in their first-round match but managed to save two set points in the second set, ultimately securing their win in 81 minutes. On the singles side of the event, Grigor Dimitrov continued his resurgence on clay courts, advancing past Nicolas Jarry 6-3, 6-4. The 15th-seeded Bulgarian faced a tense finish, needing seven match points to lock in his victory. “It took me a bit to find my groove on clay, but I’m happy with how I performed today,” Dimitrov said.
