Drew McIntyre Suspended Following SmackDown Chaos
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – On Friday, Nov. 7, WWE SmackDown presented an exciting night of matches and shocking developments.
In the main event, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes clashed with Aleister Black in a highly anticipated non-title match. The bout took a dramatic turn when Drew McIntyre delivered a brutal Claymore Kick to the referee, resulting in immediate chaos in the ring. The fight was interrupted further when McIntyre and Black teamed up to launch a 2-on-1 assault on Rhodes, forcing General Manager Nick Aldis to step in. Aldis announced McIntyre’s suspension from SmackDown following the mayhem.
Earlier in the evening, Chelsea Green defeated Giulia to clinch the Women’s United States Championship. In a hard-fought battle, Green used the ropes to secure the pinfall, making her the first two-time champion. This match was intense, as Kiana James and Alba Fyre brawled on the outside, distracting Giulia.
Adding to the drama, Nia Jax made a powerful statement by defeating WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Charlotte Flair. The match ended when Lash Legend intervened, distracting Flair long enough for Jax to execute her finisher, the Annihilator, earning the victory.
In another notable match, Ilja Dragunov retained his United States Title against Johnny Gargano. Despite Tommaso Ciampa‘s attempts to interfere, Gargano was unable to secure the win as Dragunov hit him with a superplex followed by the H-Bomb.
Finally, Talla Tonga faced off with Rey Fenix. The match enabled Tonga to showcase his strength, culminating in a victory following a powerbomb and chokeslam. Sami Zayn later rushed to the ring to assist Fenix but faced repercussions for his involvement.
The tumultuous night set the stage for future confrontations as WWE builds toward upcoming events.
