Ducks Face Sharks in Preseason Rematch Tonight

Anaheim, California — The Anaheim Ducks (3-2-0) are set to take on the San Jose Sharks (1-2-0) tonight at the SAP Center in their sixth preseason game. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. PT.
The Ducks are coming off a narrow 3-2 victory against the Sharks on Monday, with all of their goals scored within a three-minute span in the second period. Cutter Gauthier netted the first goal of the game, followed by goals from Radko Gudas and Frank Vatrano.
With just two preseason games remaining, Ducks head coach Joel Quenneville emphasized the importance of making progress. “Sometimes training camps can get long, but we want to make sure that we’re getting something out of it,” Quenneville said. He added that maintaining positivity and excitement is crucial as they prepare for the regular season.
Quenneville is looking for fast and consistent play tonight. “We want to make sure we’re playing as fast as we can,” he said. “Maybe there’s some continuity in a couple of guys playing together that might give us a pretty clear look at who we’re going to start with.”
This game marks the second consecutive matchup with the Sharks. Despite the constantly shifting lineups typical of the preseason, players like Sam Colangelo and Ian Moore have paid attention to the Sharks’ style of play.
<p“They play hard,” Colangelo remarked. “They play an in-your-face type of game. They’re finishing their hits.” Moore echoed these sentiments, highlighting the Sharks’ energy and speed. “They’re a young team with a lot of energy and speed,” he noted. “It’ll be an away game, too, so that’ll be a challenge. But we need to just stick to the way we play.”
For fans who want to watch the action, tonight’s game will be streamed live on AnaheimDucks.com and the Honda Center + Ducks mobile app.
