Dwyane Wade Talks Adebayo’s Impressions of A’ja Wilson

MIAMI, Fla. — NBA legend Dwyane Wade recently shared insights from a conversation he had with Miami Heat All-Star Bam Adebayo about WNBA superstar A'ja Wilson.

In a new episode of Wade’s YouTube show, “Time Out with Dwyane Wade,” released on Sept. 23, he discussed various topics including Adebayo and his girlfriend, Las Vegas Aces player A’ja Wilson. According to a clip shared on Instagram by @overtimewbb, Wade recalled Adebayo’s initial reactions to Wilson.

“He presented A’ja with her fourth MVP,” Wade said, reminiscing about a previous moment at the Olympics. He noted how impressed Adebayo was with Wilson’s achievements. “My little award case was like, bro, I ain’t got a chance. She’s so cold,” Wade quoted Adebayo as saying, referring to Wilson’s extensive list of accolades.

Wade added, “Whenever you see her win something, you go, ‘yes!’ She’s the dog. She’s the perfect [dog].” Wade’s words show his admiration for Wilson and her talents on the court.

Fans celebrated not only this budding relationship but also the accomplishments of both players, as both contributed to the gold medal win for the USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Adebayo and Wilson were instrumental in their teams’ successes.

Wade also mentioned that Adebayo presented Wilson with the 2025 WNBA regular season MVP trophy in a sweet surprise at the Aces’ practice facility. Videos posted by the WNBA on Instagram captured this celebratory moment. It marked Wilson’s record fourth MVP award, following wins in 2020, 2022, and 2024, as well as two WNBA championships.
